Hong Kong

I went to Hong Kong this past weekend, kind of on a whim and kind of because I realized I wanted more time there than an extended layover on my way back state side. It was a quick trip best told through pictures.
Here's everything I brought. I wanted to get right off the plane into the city.

The view from the super efficient, super easy, super convenient airport train.

Buying local.

Obsessed with this building.

Electric car!

I took the airport train into the city and got dropped off at the central station in the middle of the downtown business district. I walked around, taking the above pictures, trying to find this particular dim sum place. It was well worth the walk. I got to order from carts pushing freshly made dumplings around the restaurant.

Which was ideal, because this was the entire menu.

A view of a typical street. The city reminds me of a mix of London (there were Brits everywhere), New York (with the tall buildings), San Fran (hills everywhere), and China.

The city had these nice signs pointing to highly visited locations in the city.

The central Mid-level escalator. One of the longest escalators in the world, getting you half way up the tallest peak in Hong Kong.

The next few pictures are from a mall. When they're merged together, they form a panoramic picture of the Hong Kong skyline.
